Mary Ann Addis grew up in the Houston area, where she attended Duchesne Academy. She plays the piano, organ, guitar and cello and attended Texas A&M University, graduating in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music. She later completed a Master’s degree in Counseling at the University of Houston – Clear Lake (2015). Mary Ann currently teaches at Christ the Redeemer Catholic School. She is the Choir and Music Director, as well as the Enrichment Lead Teacher. At Christ the Redeemer, she prepares students for weekly liturgies and concerts. In addition to organizing after-school music lessons (for voice, strings, piano, guitar, and flute), she works with and directs various children choral camps during the summers.
At the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, where her father is a Deacon, she is a member of the Schola Cantorum and directs El Coro Fraternidad de San Juan Diego, a position she has held since 2013. She proudly teaches volunteer Spanish choir members how to chant and read music notations. Additionally, she assists with the planning and organization of the RSCM CCE Music Program and serves as a substitute instructor.
