Because the Church takes marriage so seriously, it is important that couples have the time to prepare adequately. The Co-Cathedral asks that the couple have at least 9 months to prepare for the sacrament with classes and meetings with the clergy.
Marriage preparation at the Co-Cathedral is open to both registered and non-registered parishioners who will be getting married at our parish or any other Catholic parish. Couples located in Houston will need to complete their preparation at the Co-Cathedral in order to get married at the Co-Cathedral.

When Are Weddings Celebrated?

Schedule of Weddings
Saturday weddings are celebrated at 9:30am, 12 noon, 2:30 pm, and 7:30 pm(Liturgy of the Word only).
Special weekday wedding dates are permitted only if the parish schedule allows.
Wedding Reservations at the Co-Cathedral
No date can be reserved or "held" until the completion of the Co-Cathedral’s Wedding Reservation Form and the deposit is received. Wedding dates/times are on first-come, first-serve basis. While date availability can be checked up front, a commitment to a wedding date will not be made until a couple has met with their assigned celebrant or the staff member in charge of marriage preparation. Please do not prematurely book venues or make other arrangements before your wedding date is confirmed.
Please note: The reservation of a wedding date is not an absolute guarantee that you will marry. Issues that may arise in marriage preparation may result in the postponement or cancellation of your wedding.
