Patrick Schneider is thrilled to join the music department at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart as the new Assistant Choir Director.
Originally from Homer, Alaska, Patrick earned a Bachelor of Music
summa cum laude from the University of Puget Sound and a Master of Music from the University of Houston, where he studied voice and vocal pedagogy with Dr. Dawn Padula and Joseph Evans, respectively, and choral conducting with Dr. Steven Zopfi.
In addition to his work at the Co-Cathedral, Patrick teaches sight singing and ear training at Lone Star College CyFair and is in his third season singing with the award-winning Houston Chamber Choir. As a soloist, he has performed several operatic roles at the Moores Opera Center, and has been featured in concert performances of Vaughan Williams’
Five Mystical Songs.
Patrick is excited to continue his journey of music-making with the talented and dedicated singers of Cor Jesu and Schola Cantorum.
