Music will include the works of J. S. Bach, Marcel Dupré, Maurice Duruflé and Herbert Howells.

Frist Friday Organ Recital Series

Justin Brueggeman will present a free afternoon concert following the 12:10 Mass.
It has been said about Justin’s performance that “of note were the works of Bach, which were executed very well” (Andrew Morehead, TN AGO District Convener-2017). Justin is a member of National Pastoral Association of Pastoral Musicians from which he holds the Organ Certificate. As the youngest board member of the American Guild of Organists Young Organists (AGOYO), Justin served as an officer in the Southeast Chapter of AGOYO from 2016 to 2019. During high school, Justin served as Interim Organist/Choirmaster at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Kingsport (2017-2019), and Principal Organist at St. Dominic Church in Kingsport, TN (2015-2019). Justin currently works as Organ Scholar at Church Street United Methodist Church, Knoxville, and is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree at the University of Tennessee majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology/Pre-Med and minoring in Organ Performance in the studio of Dr. Edie Johnson.
Third Thursday Recital Series

The voice students of Dr. Gwendolyn Alfred will perform on Thursday, February 20th at approximately 12:45 p.m. This performance is part of our Third Thursday Vocal Recital Series and is free and open to the public. Composers will include Handel, Mendelssohn, Fauré, Burleigh, Lloyd, and Hogan.
